Insight Global is seeking a Staff Accountant for our heat-processing equipment manufacturer to sit onsite in Milwaukee, WI. Under the direction of the Senior Accountant, the Staff Accountant applies principles of accounting to maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger, and prepare and analyze budgets and perform general bookkeeping in accordance with Company policies and procedures. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may expand to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
* Performs general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
* Financial report modeling which includes, but is not limited to the P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow (entity level and consolidated).
* Analyze costs, maintain budget files, interpret and analyze financial records.
* Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
* Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
* Processes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles customer accounts, and manages accounts receivable collections.
* Banking ACH Transactions, including set up and approval.
* Reconciles company financial accounts; investigates discrepancies in accounts and make corrections as needed
* Performs all tasks associated with the general ledger, i.e. enters monthly journal entries, executes monthly closing entries, executes month-end general ledger.
* Actively participate and contribute in departmental projects pertaining to financial system and procedure efficiencies.

* Bachelor's Degree in a related job-related field required.
* Related work experience in an Accounting environment, usually acquired through 1-3 years of exposure required
* Demonstrate a working knowledge of GAAP
* Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting
* Mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
* Demonstrated proficiency in general office related software. (Ex: Microsoft Office /ERP System) -- strong Excel!
* Very adaptable, strong attention to detail, inquisitive, effective communication skills, positive attitude, and takes initiative!
