Job Description

Insight Global's client is looking for Trademark Paralegal to join their team in Ann Arbor, MI. The person in this role would be responsible for trademark and domain name protection and development, litigation, registration requirements, licensing, and some marketing.

Additional responsibilities include:

* Protecting intellectual property rights through trademark and services mark/domain name filings, renewals, oppositions, appeals, cancellations, and prosecution of infringers

* Developing and implementing strategy for international trademarks

* Conducting trademark and domain name searches and preparing clearance reports

* Educating team members on proper trademark use, selection, and protection

* Maintaining intellectual property rights

* Preparing reports for compliance obligations

* Analyzing and assisting with outstanding trademark infringement and cancellation actions

o Following up with foreign counsel, monitoring litigation, preparing cease and desist letters, litigation summaries, etc.

* Reviewing new product and marketing campaign IP issues/clearances

* Reviewing advertisements, promotions, and contracts for attorney final review

* Maintaining and tracking company patents and information

* Oversight for license agreements

* Reviewing samples and validating trademark usage by 3rd parties

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:

* Paralegal Certification

* Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Paralegal

* Trademark/Domain Experience

* Experience using Microsoft office tools including excel

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:

* Experience using CPI as a docking system

* International experience
