Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist to provide cardiopulmonary and respiratory care services in an acute care setting. This role will administer respiratory treatments and life support interventions as ordered by the treating physician(s). The Respiratory Therapist will perform cardiovascular and pulmonary diagnostic testing to support physician diagnosis and treatment of heart and lung disorders. The therapist will complete timely and accurate documentation in the patient’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in accordance with facility policies, procedures, and standard practice reviewed during orientation. This position also supports performance improvement initiatives and participates in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities within the department.

• Active Respiratory Therapist license issued by the West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care
• Minimum of 1 year Respiratory Therapy experience in an acute care setting
• Ability to administer respiratory treatments strictly per physician orders
• Proven ability to provide cardiopulmonary services, respiratory care, and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary abnormalities/deficiencies
• Experience performing diagnostic tests of the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems
• Strong EMR documentation skills with a track record of timely, compliant charting
• Willingness/ability to participate in department performance improvement and CQI activities

• Experience with facility-specific EMR platforms and documentation workflows
• Prior involvement in formal quality initiatives (CQI projects, audits, process improvement, KPI tracking)
• Broad exposure to diverse cardiopulmonary patient populations and acuity levels (e.g., stepdown, ICU, ED support)
