Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Reliability Electrical Engineer for a chemical client in Marietta, OH. This role is crucial for the installation, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of industrial equipment, with a specific focus on electrical and instrumentation systems. The engineer will collaborate closely with a capable electrical specialist, taking charge of day-to-day troubleshooting and maintenance of plant electrical and instrumentation equipment. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert in hardware, including instrumentation such as pressure transmitters, VFDs, motors, automated valves, and discrete & analog instrumentation.

Follows all Company policies & procedures and all site health, safety, security and environmental rules
Provide support for installation, inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs for electrical equipment.
Identify and propose opportunities for improvements in reliability and availability and reduction in operating and maintenance cost
Provide technical support to day-to-day operations and maintenance for repairs and equipment failure analysis
Support / Participate in HAZOP, PHA, MOC, SCI, ENV, and QCI processes
Provide guidance and expertise in identifying suitable replacements for outdated electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Develop and maintain maintenance procedures and departmental practices.

Required Skills & Experience

BS in Electrical Engineering (3.0 Requirement)
Knowledge of applicable National Electric Code requirements.
Good Personality and Willingness to learn/grow

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

SAP experience is a plus.
Experience with industrial Distributed Control Systems
PSM Site experience & Safety Critical Interlocks (SCI) Experience
Hands-on experience with plant electrical and instrumentation equipment maintenance and troubleshooting:
Variable Frequency Drives
Motors
Discrete & Analog Instrumentation
Industrial communication protocols (HART, Modbus, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, etc)
Automated valves
Safety Critical Interlocks
Low voltage power systems
Needs to have some experience with instrumentation and troubleshooting
