Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Payroll Manager to join the team of our global law firm client. The Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of 5 payroll analysts. They will also be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with all relevant federal, state and local laws and regulations. They will also be leading the continuous improvement of payroll procedures and best practices. This individual will not be processing the semi-monthly payroll themselves but overseeing the analysts that do so and assisting them along the way. With that being said, they will need to run performance reviews, review and maintain budgets for the department, hiring when necessary, and responsible for processing multi state payroll taxes. Other duties will include the following:

Maintain and optimize the payroll platform to meet the organization's specific payroll needs, staying up to date with system updates and best practices.

* Ensure all payroll transactions, including deductions, overtime, and bonuses, are processed accurately.

* Generate and review various payroll reports, reconciliations, and payments, and address any discrepancies.

* Assist with year-end reporting and preparation of annual tax forms.

* Provide training and support to team members on the use of the UKG platform and related payroll software.

* Develop and maintain policies and procedures to improve and streamline the payroll accounting processes globally.

Required Skills & Experience

* Experience with the UltiPro (UKG) payroll platform

* 7+ years of experience as a payroll manager (experience with direct reports)

* Knowledge of multi state payroll/payroll taxes

* Microsoft office products (specifically excel)

* Leadership abilities

* Basic accounting skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Experience with international payroll

* Bachelors degree in related field

* Certified payroll professional

* Kronos -- or other payroll systems
