Job Description

MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL TO CHARLESTON, WV MONTHLY. Insight Global is looking for 2 Sr Principal Structural Engineers in Charleston, West Virginia to join one of our Global Engineering clients. The successful C/S principal engineer has extensive experience managing high seismic & brownfield projects. This individual will be responsible for analysis and design of existing structures and their foundation that comply with ASCE, AISC, IBC, and ACI. Support petrochemical client through foundation design including deep foundations or dynamic design for machines. Prepare structural detail designs for pipe rack, equipment support, tall framed structure, and retrofitting of existing structures. Lead the sole project, direct the design requirements, and oversee 6 designers/engineers. Review and check the drawings and direct the designers as required. Demonstrate a strong background in discipline work and a strong understanding of regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices. The ability to coordinate between different disciplines and offices is the must and if required must be able to coordinate with the clients. Review design specifications, project construction, installations, technical support, and evaluations.

Required Skills & Experience

* MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL TO CHARLESTON, WV MONTHLY

*15+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering

* Experience working with EPC firms preferably in the Chemical Process, hydrocarbon, or Oil and Gas industry

* Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

* Experience managing a team of engineers & designers.

* Proficient in civil/structural software such as STAAD Pro, STAAD Foundation, Mat3D, RISA 3D and Connection Design

* Proficient with Tekla, Navisworks, and AutoCAD

* Familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and PIPs code

* Experience in a client facing role

* Licensed PE or ability to obtain one within 6 months

* NCEES certification
