An employer is looking for a QA Automation Engineer in Seattle, WA. This role will require 2 days onsite in downtown Seattle each week and 3 days remote. This role will be a 50/50 blend of testing and BA work. You will work hand in hand with the team's Business Analyst to gather requirements and work with stakeholders on identifying their respective cookies. From a testing perspective, you will test and update scripts, followed by identifying areas which can be automated at the end of each sprint. You'll be testing various components of our client's payment platform (payment triggers), Salesforce Grants Management platform and privacy related cookies. In addition to testing responsibilities, this role will require a strong critical thinking background, as the team works to devise testing strategies for a newer space, with at times, a fair amount of ambiguity involved. Someone who brings a strong ability to filter out extra noise and truly hone in on the requirements necessary, will be an incredibly strong asset to the team.
3-6 years of quality assurance testing, with a heavy focus on automation using Selenium or Katalon.
2+ years' experience running regression tests for ongoing improvements.
2+ years' experience working with stakeholders and gathering requirements, ability to drive stakeholder communications.
Ability to write and run use cases.
Manual testing experience.
Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
Experience working for a retail company such as Nike, Nordstrom, etc.
Experience using Katalon for automation testing.
Experience testing payment platforms, testing payment triggers.
Background as a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with testing expertise.
Experience testing Salesforce platforms such as their Grants Management platform.
