Job Description

Work with the Hardware Engineering team to provide Schematic and PCB board designs. Layouts range from simple to complex, multi-layer printed circuit boards containing analog, digital, RF, and power components.

Liaise with PCB vendors to select proper materials, stack-ups, obtain impedance specifications, DFX rulesets, assembly requirements, and resolve any manufacturing related issues.

Create and manage PCB documentation including fabrication and assembly packages.

Work with document control department to release fab and assembly packages into company-wide PLM system.

Collaborate in a team environment across engineering disciplines.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of PCB Design experience using Altium or Cadence/Allegro.

Knowledge of IPC, JEDEC, IEEE, and other electronic standards.

Experience in creating schematic symbols and PCB footprints in libraries.

Experience interpreting datasheets and schematics to generate netlists and proper constraints in the layout design.

Experience in designing multiple PCB types:

HDI Design

Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex Design

Wire Bonding Design

Aluminum Backed Design

Experience in designing high speed differential circuits, power circuits, analog and RF circuits.

Experience in PCB layout design constraints for mixed/RF signal, signal impedance control, memory interfaces, power distribution, heat dissipation, and optimization for EMI performance.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

7+ years' experience of PCB layout design using Altium or Cadence/Allegro.

Experience with SVN, GIT, P4, or similar version control systems.

Experience with Altium Concord Pro or similar library management systems.

Proven track record to design & manage all aspects of the printed board design.
