Job Description

Approved Meta Remote Locations: Denver CO 68.20 New York NY 79.00 Houston TX 68.20 Los Angeles CA 70.31 and San Diego CA 68.20.

Summary:
The main function of a lab engineer is to develop tools to drive innovation into the organization. The typical lab engineer will work with lab managers to determine which functions of the business could be innovated and to utlizae software and hardware tools in order to carry that out.

Job Responsibilities:
Candidate should have the following qualifications
Lab Experience
Ability to generate Cell Pack Validation Data.
Clear understanding of battery testing
Familiarity with Maccor Cyclers
Familiar with Maccor scripts
Lab processes
Able to standardize lab processes for battery cell and pack module validation across various programs
IQC
Thickness Measurements
Device tracking/Inventory
Recycling of IP waste

Able to produce battery cell and pack reporting status updates and final reports for each build P0 P1 EVTx

Good skill to have but not a requirements

Cross section
3D measurements

Develop Initiatives to improve lab efficiency
SMbus
Breakout boards for Pack testing
Automation equipment and tasks
Dashboards Maccor
Thermocouples

Able to interact Third Party test houses
Institute cadence
Propose correlation initiatives
Review Data on a consistent basis
Flag issues with testing and data

Direction
Support lab build out and growth in Redmond
Some familiarity with Voltaiq

Skills:
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency with excel and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to interpret analyze and evaluate given information relative to research.
  • Self motivated persuasive and analytical.
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written.

    Education/Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in engineering a
  • Experience working with research labs.
