Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Project Manager to support an archive inventory and relocation initiative. This individual will oversee daily project execution, coordinate onsite resources, ensure operational efficiency, and serve as a key liaison between project stakeholders and field teams.
The ideal candidate brings strong coordination or project management experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and a balanced leadership style. This is a working manager role requiring someone who will actively support the team while ensuring project objectives stay on track. We need a practical leader who can take initiative, adapt to changing project needs, and effectively balance direction from stakeholders while keeping a team focused and productive. This person is comfortable stepping in to do the labor alongside the team and understands how to maintain momentum without creating unnecessary obstacles.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Coordinate daily project operations and workforce activities
• Lead and support a team of archive material handlers
• Monitor workflow efficiency and identify opportunities for process improvement
• Partner with project leadership to address challenges and maintain project timelines
• Ensure materials are processed accurately and according to established procedures
• Support onboarding and daily direction of temporary staff
• Assist with inventory activities, packing, organization, and archival workflows when needed
• Track project progress and communicate status updates
• Help maintain a productive, collaborative team environment
• Support shipment and pallet movement coordination activities
• Ensure compliance with all site, security, and safety requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous project management, project coordination, team lead, operations lead, or similar experience
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to balance leadership with collaboration and hands-on support
• Ability to bend, lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 30-40 lbs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment, with a positive attitude with a solutions-oriented approach
• Willingness to complete required background screening and drug testing
• Ability to commit to the duration of the project through the end of the year (committed to 40 hour work weeks without upcoming trips / staying local through the holidays)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with barcode scanning systems
• Inventory control, records management, archives, logistics, or warehouse project experience
• Experience working with asset tracking or labeling systems
• Strong attention to detail when working with inventory data and documentation
