Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Fiber Connectivity / ICT Architect to join a Global Connectivity team supporting the design and implementation of cutting-edge data center infrastructure focused on AI workloads. This individual will be responsible for designing, documenting, implementing, and troubleshooting fiber connectivity and structured cabling solutions across both production and non-production network environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in ICT design, fiber infrastructure, industry standards, and large-scale data center deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design fiber connectivity solutions for laboratory environments and production data centers supporting AI infrastructure.

Create connectivity designs for production and non-production networks, including:

Building Management Systems (BMS)
Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
Security Systems
Audio/Visual Systems
Controls Networks

Develop and maintain detailed ICT specification documentation to serve as implementation and operational standards.

Manage multiple cabling manufacturers and vendors to ensure engineering deliverables and project schedules are met.

Provide field oversight and project support for fiber connectivity deployments across laboratories, colocation facilities, and data centers both domestically and internationally.

Establish and drive standards related to ICT testing, labeling, installation practices, and documentation in accordance with EIA, TIA, and BICSI industry standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity and infrastructure issues throughout project lifecycles.

Required Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related technical field. Equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and relevant experience will be considered.

Industry certifications such as BICSI RCDD, DCDC, OSP, or similar preferred.

10+ years of experience as an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) professional in complex, fast-paced environments.

Extensive experience with both inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) copper and fiber technologies, including design and implementation.

Strong experience creating and maintaining ICT specification documentation utilizing tools such as AutoCAD and Bluebeam.

Proven experience developing ICT operational standards related to testing, labeling, and installation methodologies.

Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts, common networking terminology, fiber optic technologies, network cabling systems, and associated testing equipment.

Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to perform physical activities as required, including climbing ladders, moving equipment, installing cabling, and lifting light equipment.
Experience supporting large-scale data center fiber connectivity implementations and ongoing operational support.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred Skills:

Background supporting hyperscale or enterprise data center environments.
Experience working within AI, high-performance computing (HPC), or advanced networking infrastructures.
Strong understanding of structured cabling best practices and industry compliance standards.
