Job Description
An employer is looking for a Hardware Engineering Technician in Spokane, WA. They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hardware Engineering Technician to support their engineering team in the development, testing, and troubleshooting of hardware systems and prototypes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical expertise with hardware components, fine-pitch soldering, and electrical/mechanical systems, as well as the ability to document test results and collaborate with engineering staff to achieve project objectives. This person will assist engineers in assembling, testing, and troubleshooting hardware components, systems, and prototypes. They will perform diagnostics and repair of hardware equipment, identifying and resolving issues efficiently. They will conduct fine-pitch soldering and rework of electronic components for prototyping, assembly modifications, and repairs. They will conduct quality control checks to ensure hardware components meet performance, reliability, and safety standards. This person will support the design, development, and modification of hardware systems, fixtures, and tools. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project milestones and deadlines. Ethernet networking experience is desired to assist in the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware connectivity.

Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of experience in a hardware engineering, product testing, or manufacturing role.
2+ years of experience with fine-pitch soldering and rework of electronic components.
2+ years of experience with hardware assembly, testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.), and troubleshooting tools.
1+ years of experience with electrical and mechanical systems, schematics, and technical drawings.
6+ moths of networking experience
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Experience with CAD software and basic test automation tools
Associate’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering Technology
