Insight Global is seeking a Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer to support a leading advanced manufacturing environment. This engineer will serve as the technical lead for site electrical distribution systems and play a critical role in maintaining reliable facility operations while managing electrical infrastructure capital projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background with experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, or semiconductor facilities. This individual will split their time between hands-on troubleshooting of electrical systems and engineering design/project work, making them a key contributor to both day-to-day operations and long-term facility improvements.
Responsibilities

Serve as the subject matter expert for site electrical distribution systems, including low- and medium-voltage power infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues impacting facility operations.
Support sustaining maintenance activities and reliability initiatives for critical facility equipment.
Lead facilities capital projects, including electrical infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacements, and system expansions.
Manage projects involving transformers, switchgear, electrical distribution equipment, and associated power systems.
Perform engineering design and review work, including electrical calculations, system layouts, and construction documentation.
Review contractor submittals, RFIs, drawings, and field execution to ensure quality and compliance.
Partner with facilities, operations, maintenance, and construction teams to execute projects safely and efficiently.
Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs designed to improve uptime and reliability.
Drive continuous improvement efforts related to electrical system performance, reliability, and energy efficiency.

Pay ranges from 86,000 - 118,000 based on qualifications and years of experience.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5-8+ years of electrical engineering experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, or facilities environments.
- Experience supporting low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems.
- Strong troubleshooting experience within facility electrical infrastructure.
- Experience managing or supporting electrical capital projects.
- Ability to balance field support, operations troubleshooting, and engineering design responsibilities.
- Knowledge of electrical design principles and industry codes/standards.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Semiconductor manufacturing facility experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience supporting critical facility infrastructure and sustaining engineering environments.
- Experience with transformer replacements, switchgear upgrades, and electrical distribution expansion projects.
- Experience using electrical design and analysis software (EasyPower, SKM, ETAP, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools).
- Background supporting 24/7 manufacturing or mission-critical operations.
