Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced employee development professional to teach interactive mechanical and aerospace assembly courses to new hires on site in a classroom setting.

100% on site in Renton WA
Physical Demands: Standing, talking, walking, for long periods of time. (teaching 8 hour classes)
Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment – OJT or formal classroom training.

Second Shift: 3pm - 11pm

Day to Day:
• Conduct learning requirements analysis and establish learning objectives
• Deliver content and assess effectiveness based on learning objectives
• Conduct coaching sessions to improve individual or group performance
• Perform as an instructor in a specialized content area from one or more of the following areas of Aerospace Skills expertise: Electrical, Structural, Seal, Quality, Systems, etc.
• Facilitate learning events and knowledge transfer by teaching and team coaching, observing and tracking student performance, adding key insights to enhance the delivery, conduct preparation, delivery and rostering of training to satisfy training requirement
• Conduct training utilizing a variety of delivery methods and techniques, and customizes learning programs, courses, presentations and guides
• Emphasize safety precautions to be taken in all training provided
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment, and address any problem behaviors in the classroom promptly in accordance with policies
• Perform individual and group assessments, and recommend process and performance improvements
• Conduct Train-the-Trainer Sessions to qualify additional instructors
• Understand regulations and standards, ensure delivery of courseware complies with commercial, government, regulatory and organizational standards and specifications

Additional Responsibilities:
• Lead projects designed to produce educational deliverables
• Perform ongoing monitoring of stakeholders operating environment and key business measures and objectives
• Coach and develop less experienced instructors
• Conduct Train-the-Trainer Sessions to qualify additional instructors
• Deploy development tools and monitors implementation and performance outcomes
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide training consultation services
• Identify and validate training by observing, measuring, testing, reviewing, and analyzing training to ensure that learning objectives are met effectively
• Collaborate with stakeholders and service providers (e.g., curriculum developers, instructional systems designers, engineers, programmers, strategic learning advisors, etc.) to develop creative training enhancements, guided skills practices, job aids, capstone projects and activities to assist learners during and after training

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in aerospace/manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support
Ability to navigate conflicting personalities and deescalate situations
Experience in teaching, coaching, instructing, or in internal employee development
Experience working with detailed work instructions or reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelor's and/or Master's degree
Experience designing and employing leadership development courseware and/or curriculum
Experience with Structural, Electrical, Repair, Functional Test, Seal, Systems, etc.
Experience in the following areas: Electrician/Structure/Wing/Spar Assembly, Needs Assessment and Job Analysis
