Job Description
We are seeking an Aircraft Structures Engineer to support freighter aircraft acquisition and conversion efforts. This role will focus on managing the end-to-end documentation, evaluation, and transfer process for newly acquired aircraft, with a strong emphasis on structural components, cross-functional coordination, and project ownership.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Review and evaluate aircraft documentation from previous owners
• Analyze inspection reports and determine appropriate actions, including:
o Requesting additional information
o Approving findings
o Dispositioning issues or defects
• Support the transfer of records and data from legacy systems into internal systems
• Manage documentation review, data entry, and tracking throughout the acquisition lifecycle
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g., previous owners, engineering, maintenance, leasing partners)
• Own specific project deliverables and timelines within a larger aircraft acquisition program
• Contribute to high-visibility initiatives requiring strong organization and communication
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all transferred and reviewed data

Required Skills & Experience
• Experience working with aircraft structures
• Background in aircraft maintenance, repair, or engineering (structures-focused preferred)
• Experience reviewing and interpreting technical documentation, inspection reports, or maintenance records
• Exposure to damage assessment, repair/disposition, and configuration control
• Strong project management or coordination experience
• Ability to manage workstreams with minimal oversight in a project-based environment
• Strong communication skills with experience working across internal and external stakeholders
• Experience with data entry and documentation management within engineering or maintenance systems
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience within an airline or aviation environment
• Familiarity with aircraft acquisition, leasing transfers, or conversions
• Experience working with maintenance tracking systems (e.g., TRAX or similar)
• Exposure to donor aircraft processes or ownership transfers
• Background in high-visibility or cross-functional programs
• Experience working in short-term, fast-paced project environments
