Job Description
The Engineering Services Department supports and provides comprehensive, full-service aerospace engineering services to customers in aircraft design and certification. The Engineering Services Department is responsible for providing engineering consulting services related to aircraft performance, similarity analysis, reviewing and supporting certification activities, determining test requirements, and planning and documenting testing to meet customer needs. The Engineering Services Department provides several areas of expertise in Flight Sciences, Electrical Systems, EWIS, Avionic Systems, Mechanical Systems, Powerplant & FIFA, Air Systems, Cabin Safety, Structures and Liaison Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the Electrical Systems group to meet or exceed performance, productivity, and customer objectives.
• Assign work and oversee execution to support both short‑ and long‑term goals.
• Own group planning, goal tracking, and status reporting to leadership.
• Hire, develop, coach, and manage direct reports while fostering a safe, accountable, and results‑driven team culture.
• Build and maintain an effective organizational structure with appropriate, cost‑effective staffing levels.
• Act as the hiring manager across the full recruiting process, including requisitions, interviews, and hiring decisions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor within the Electrical Engineering discipline while ensuring quality and compliance.
Champion safety, regulatory compliance, and company policies; perform hands‑on engineering work as needed.

Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related Engineering discipline
• 10+ years of experience in an aerospace engineering environment
• 3+ years leading or directing the work of multiple engineers
• Strong technical expertise in aircraft Electrical Systems and EWIS, including ATA 24 and ATA 97 architectures
Proficiency with engineering design and analysis tools (2D/3D CAD, MBSE, simulation) and electrical system sizing, control, and performance
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Nice to Have:
• Experience with HIRF, EMI, and EMC analysis in an aerospace environment
• Knowledge of electrical system separation, zoning, and performance analysis
Exposure to aircraft certification, manufacturing, modification, or test programs
