Insight Global is looking to hire a Systems Engineer for one of their clients in the Aerospace and Defense industry. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Provide technical guidance to engineering teams working on flight-capable mechanical systems and structures
- Support system-level planning, execution, and coordination across engineering disciplines
- Help define system architecture and break high-level requirements into actionable engineering requirements
- Ensure designs meet technical, performance, and compliance requirements
- Support testing strategy, qualification planning, and performance validation
- Create and maintain technical documentation, reports, and interface definitions

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering (or related field)
2–7 years of experience in systems engineering or related field supporting aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated industries
Experience with system-level engineering, integration, and qualification testing
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Working knowledge of aerospace fundamentals such as structures, FEA, dynamics, and materials
Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams
Strong technical documentation and communication skills
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with requirements management and traceability tools such as DOORS Next Generation (DNG) and Jazz Team Server (JTS) Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM)
Experience developing or supporting ConOps
Background in system architecture trade studies or design evaluations
Familiarity with verification & validation (V&V) processes
Knowledge of system safety methods (e.g., FMEA/FMECA, fault trees)
Experience with aerospace or defense certification and regulatory standards
