Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Cyber Security Engineer to support our Application Security team with a strong focus on Mergers & Acquisitions. This role operates in a highly dynamic, fast paced environment where new partners, applications, and integrations are constantly entering the ecosystem. Delivery expectations are high, and this individual will play a critical role in ensuring all applications meet security and compliance standards throughout the M&A lifecycle.

This is a hands-on, senior technical leadership role requiring deep application security expertise, strong security fundamentals, and proven experience integrating applications from diverse M&A partners.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal.com.To learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/.

Required Skills & Experience

• Principal-level experience in Cyber Security, with a strong emphasis on Application Security
• Proven experience supporting M&A integration efforts, including onboarding applications from multiple, diverse partners
• Deep knowledge of application security principles, secure design patterns, and SDLC security
• Experience with front-end technology, java Springboot for backend and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Strong experience with standard security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, cloud security, container security, etc.)
• Hands-on technical background—comfortable doing the work, not just advising
• Experience working in high-pressure, high-delivery environments with evolving priorities
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence without authority
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience collaborating with distributed teams and external M&A partners

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience securing applications that leverage AI/ML or GenAI platforms (OpenAI, Claude, or similar)
• Background in cloud-native and SaaS application environments
• Experience defining or refining application security standards during acquisitions
• Familiarity with regulatory or compliance-driven environments

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
