We're hiring for a full-time, Senior Database Administrator to guide and support growing our client's Software as a Service (SaaS) platform, supporting a major transportation and logistics company. This role contributes to supporting Enterprise software systems critical to international cargo transportation and logistics. The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for driving excellence in our Oracle and PostgreSQL database instances in Amazon Web Services (AWS) as well as supporting on-prem customer data needs. You can expect to be involved with a wide breadth of topics, including database operations, scalability, resiliency, performance, cloud migration, and architecture.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years' of relevant industry experience.
Expert-level database administration skills in Oracle and PostgreSQL.
Proven track record of diagnosing, repairing, and recovering large databases under stressful conditions.
Experience setting up scalable, resilient and highly available database solutions.
Experience administrating and supporting databases running on UNIX/Linux, Microsoft Windows and Cloud-native services (e.g., AWS RDS).
Expertise in database configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, security hardening, backup and recovery.
Past or present professional Oracle database certifications, such as Oracle Certified Professional or equivalent is desirable.
Coding experience with software development (Python preferred), scripting, or Infrastructure-as-Code.
Proficiency operating in and doing basic administration of both UNIX/Linux and Microsoft Windows systems.
Experience with Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) / Cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and technologies (e.g., AWS RDS, Aurora, EC2, DMS, EFS, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, etc.).
Proactive attitude and proven history of proposing new solutions and driving significant improvements.
Good English language communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrable high standards for quality and operational excellence.
