Job Description

An employer is looking for a government Business Analyst to support the development of the Strategic Agreements (SA) new business unit. This person will be responsible for providing support to the Director of Strategic Agreements to establish, document, and communicate the SA business and organizational plans, processes, and methods. Daily activities may include:

· Support government-to-government staff-level business interactions by preparing for and attending internal and external meetings, recommending agenda items and preparing meeting documentation, tracking communications internally and externally
· Analytical, research, and problem-solving duties and development and implementation of tools, forms, and templates using software tools such as MS Office, SharePoint, Power BI, and Jira
· Business and process improvement analysis, developing and supporting SA performance metrics and reporting, participate in metrics dashboard design
· Provide drafting, review, and editing of select governmental agreements, provide analysis of existing agreements for consistency across partners and with agency policy and standards
· Performing and/or coordinating support functions such as representing SA in cross-functional meetings to communicate and receive feedback on programs, policies, procedures, and assigned functions and priorities for SA
Provides general support and coordination of activities for business unit leadership and staff, and internal and external customers and stakeholders of the division.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering, urban planning, transportation, business administration, public administration, or closely related field and 4-6 years of public agency related experience in project management of urban design, community planning, public involvement, engineering, architecture, or closely related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience interpreting and administrating public policies and procedures.
• Experience analyzing, assessing, and assisting with the drafting process of government contracts and grant writing.
Strong communication skills, including professional experience facilitating meetings and presenting concepts orally or in writing.
