Job Description
We are seeking a mid-level Cybersecurity Engineer with strong Database Security experience (3–5 years) to support our enterprise Database Security initiatives. This role requires hands-on experience with Imperva Database Security (e.g., Imperva/Guardian) and strong collaboration skills with both customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Configure, deploy, and support Imperva or other similar Database Security solutions across enterprise environments.
• Partner with customers and internal teams to gather requirements, massage data, and deliver tailored database security solutions.
• Perform system changes, upgrades, and maintenance
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database security controls, firewalls, network connectivity, and server performance.
• Support database security operations, working closely with Database Administrators on secure configurations and access controls.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, or similar languages to improve operational efficiency.
• Update and maintain runbooks, documentation, and tooling to strengthen incident response and operational readiness.
• Participate in post-incident reviews, ensuring lessons learned are documented and actioned.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of alerting, vulnerability management, and operational workflows.

Required Skills & Experience
• 3–5 years of experience in engineering roles, preferably in cybersecurity, infrastructure, or platform operations.
• Hands-on experience with Imperva or other similar Database Security (e.g., Imperva SecureSphere / Guardian/Varonis).
• Strong background in Database Security and Database Administration concepts (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Experience supporting vulnerability management processes and remediation efforts.
• Solid expertise in Linux/AIX, System Administration, OS/Server Administration, and Firewall troubleshooting.
• Scripting experience with Shell, Python, or similar languages.
• Strong communication skills with proven ability to interact directly with customers and cross functional teams.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with broader Data Security technologies, such as:
o DSPM (Data Security Posture Management)
o DLP (Data Loss Prevention)
o UEBA (User and Entity Behavior Analytics)
• General Cybersecurity Engineering experience beyond database security (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, IAM integrations).
• Familiarity with cloud or hybrid database security environments.
