Job Description

A large utility company is seeking a Data and Systems Analyst to support a large‑scale operational technology initiative involving the management, programming, and optimization of a two‑way radio environment (including Tait TP9300/TM9300 subscriber and base radios). The primary focus of this role is on improving data integrity, designing new data structures, enabling automated reporting, and creating insights that drive operational decision‑making.
This role supports a transformation effort focused on:
Consolidating and cleaning disparate datasets tied to field communications equipment
Designing and building a centralized database or structured data environment to support analytics
Developing dashboards and automated workflows to give leadership real‑time visibility into fleet health, lifecycle status, and configuration trends
Reducing manual processes by introducing scripting, automation, and standardized templates
Ensuring future compatibility and scalability so the organization can move toward more predictive metrics and smarter operational planning

Required Skills & Experience

Advanced Excel expertise (complex formulas, multi‑sheet models, transformation logic).
Strong SQL skills (building queries, optimizing performance, structuring relational data).
Power BI/Tableau proficiency (data modeling, DAX, visualization, automation).
Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or similar) to streamline data operations.
Data auditing and validation experience with attention to detail.
Ability to design or contribute to building a database or structured data environment.
Experience with two‑way radio systems (Tait, Motorola, Kenwood, LMR, DMR, P25).
Comfort working with assets/equipment data — tracking, reconciling, and improving lifecycle accuracy.
Creative problem‑solver with an innovation mindset and ability to turn loose requirements into scalable solutions.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Understanding of radio fleet management or remote field device configuration.
Familiarity with operational technology (OT) or utility field operations.
