Job Description

At Alaska Airlines you will evaluate how new systems interact, compare data outputs for accuracy, and build automation that improves the speed and reliability of testing workflows. Your work will support flight operations and engineering teams in ensuring Alaska Airlines systems function safely, reliably, and consistently.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data, or a related technical field (or equivalent applied experience).
• Ability to work independently and drive tasks without close supervision.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to quantify problems, identify patterns, and isolate root causes.
• Experience with data analysis, data comparison, or large dataset handling.
• Basic scripting or automation experience (e.g., Python, VBA, Power Automate, or similar).
• Ability to manage and make sense of large quantities of test cases.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience working with or analyzing flight planning or aircraft performance data.
• Background or coursework in avionics, aeronautical engineering, or aviation operations.
• Experience with automation engineering or office automation tools.
• Familiarity with operational testing, system integration, or quality engineering.
Ability to converse technically with engineers, pilots, or operations teams (not required, but beneficial).
