Job Description

A well-known Aerospace company in the Renton, WA area is looking to add an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to their growing team! A successful candidate in this role will ​​execute environmental, health and safety programs to manage risk and comply with regulations​. Additionally you will administer environmental, health and safety activities including training, inspections, audits, sampling, and reporting. You must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with employees, contractors, and leadership to convey status and assist with improvement projects. Required Skills & Experience

- 5-8+ years of experience in environment, health and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA)
- 3+ years of experience interfacing with regulatory agencies
- 3+ years of experience with safety and environmental management systems
- Knowledge of environmental science principles
- Knowledge of industrial health and safety principles
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Critical thinking skills and ability to make decisions which will impact human health and the environment
