Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer with a strong DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineering capabilities. This hybrid role is focused on enabling our application development by building automation and improving the health of our applications by bringing SRE best practices into effect.
This person should oversee and drive all devops, SRE, and platform functionalities. They should have the technical expertise as well as the ability to plan, organize and lead the sprint team.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery.
Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Drive GitOps practices using tools like ArgoCD or Flux.
Enhance system reliability and performance through monitoring, alerting, and automation.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate SRE principles into the software lifecycle.
Maintain and improve observability platforms (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus).
Perform Linux system administration tasks and develop automation scripts (Bash, Shell).
Participate in incident response and postmortem analysis to improve system resilience.

Required Skills & Experience

- Lead Engineer with a strong DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineering capabilities.
- Docker: Expert in containerization, including Docker builds, Dockerfiles, Docker Compose, container registries, Kaniko, and DevContainers.
- Kubernetes: Strong experience from an application development perspective; CKAD certification is a plus.
- GitOps: Hands-on experience with ArgoCD or Flux.
- CI/CD: Proficiency with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps (experience with Jenkins, Bitbucket, AppVeyor is acceptable).
- Observability: Experience with Datadog or similar tools (Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, ELK).
- Linux: Competent in administration, scripting (Bash, Shell), and troubleshooting.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Application Development: Familiarity with Node.js and TypeScript (huge plus), Go, or Python.
- Kubernetes Administration: Cluster management; CKA certification preferred.
- Infrastructure as Code: Basic Terraform experience.
- Configuration Management: Exposure to Ansible.
- Cloud: Experience with Azure and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer)
