Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an Employment Compliance Counsel to join an enterprise retail company hybrid out of Seattle. Reporting to the Manager, Employment Compliance Counsel, this role will be responsible for a broad variety of legal matters relating to employment law and regulatory compliance including:
Being the point of contact in the region for Human Resources team to ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local employment and labor law requirements and advising on practicable solutions
Conducting research on legal and regulatory developments with respect to employment law
Partnering with the Human Resources team to draft and review employment law policies, practices, and processes
Providing practical legal advice to the Human Resources business partners on a wide variety of employment law compliance issues, including but not limited to working time, time off and leaves, benefits, occupational health and safety, training and reporting requirements, and more.
Providing support to Senior Legal Counsel on strategic initiatives and projects
Handling and coordinating any matters with external counsel when necessary
Handling any ad-hoc tasks assigned

Required Skills & Experience
Juris doctorate from accredited institution
Qualified lawyer in any jurisdiction with the ability as in-house counsel
3-5 years of legal experience
Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly communicate legal requirements to non-legal partners
Keen attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent organizational skills
Ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
Good judgement and integrity
