Job Description

Concepting, Strategizing, and Managing Player Lifecycle Messaging & Marketing for the world's biggest video game.

• Franchise Lifecycle Management – 100% turnkey management and creative direction of every email.

• CRM Ownership – Keep a pulse on player sentiment, brand needs, trends, and data -- to build campaigns and journeys that cultivate positive relationships between players and Minecraft.

• PLM Product Marketing Strategy – Concept & build promotional, nurture, & engagement campaigns, in addition to overall messaging PLM strategy and alignment with wider brand beats.

• Data & Analytics – Obsess over A/B tests & experiments to define PLM and messaging best practices.

• Content Strategy – Determine content, its hierarchy, messaging, and design creative direction for email.

• Editorial Calendar – Develop and manage email deployment & content calendar for all Minecraft.

• Creative Direction – Provide copy chiefing and art direction on every single email.

• Project Management – Manage & coordinate over thousands of assets. Build, execute, and enforce timelines & workback schedules. Reduced churn by introducing a project management platform.


Notable Projects: Grew email list from 6MM to 60MM+ subs. Launched Minecraft’s most popular mailer. Supported launch of the newest game in the franchise, Minecraft Legends.

Required Skills & Experience

Assists in the strategic and creative development including upfront research and production process. Responsibilities also include building strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring campaign budgets stay within targets, writing and disseminating campaign activity reports and tracking campaign results/metrics.
