Job Description

This Data Technician will be joining a team helping to support numerous research projects to further AI capabilities. This person will receive an annotation task from the Annotation lead, such as place a point on the tip of the nose and the center of the jaw on a series of images of peoples faces. They will then work with the annotation lead to prepare instructions and training material for how to complete the labeling task. Training material can include example videos or images on how to place the point on different kinds of images or from different viewpoints. They will create the gold set of labeled images, which will be used to check for quality consistency across other data labelers. The Data Technician will go over instructions with the other Data Technicians, as well as 3rd party annotation groups to ensure the consistency of the labels. They will also provide occasional feedback to the Annotation lead or engineers on how to improve the quality of the labeling tools to increase accuracy and throughput.

General Duties
Label data according to specifications set by the principal investigator and/or annotation leads, with a focus on accuracy
Create training assets and support materials for ground truth definition and vendor feedback
Own annotation assignments, optimize policies and procedures based on principal investigator or annotation lead
Provide feedback to annotation leads and engineers on tooling and processes for more efficient labeling to help improve accuracy and throughput
Communicate progress / status of various annotation tasks

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors Degree
Knowledge on human anatomy and anatomical structures. Any experience in a medical related field (ex. Physical Training, Massage Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Nurse, etc.) could work or even a related degree could suffice as long as this person feels confident in their knowledge of human anatomy and anatomical structures.
2+ years of experience labeling/reviewing large datasets
1+ years of experience using Photoshop or other image editing software

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience using video editing software and ability to create tutorial videos. Proficiency in adobe, video scripting, editing, and producing videos.
Experience using 3D software.
