Job Description

-Create detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings of mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
-Work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, discuss design concepts, and incorporate feedback into designs.
-Assist in the development and testing of prototypes, ensuring designs are feasible for manufacturing and meet performance criteria.
-Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, assembly instructions, and revision history.
-Identify and select appropriate materials for components based on design requirements, cost considerations, and performance characteristics.
- Conducted design reviews and ensured compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
-Troubleshoot design issues and implement necessary changes to enhance product functionality and manufacturability.
-Assist in planning and managing project timelines, ensuring deliverables are met according to schedule and budget constraints.

Required Skills & Experience

-Experience with large-scale system assembly design (100s of parts)
-Experience operating large-scale machinery such as CNC metal, adaptive manufacturing, or ground vehicle systems
-Experience mapping out wiring and cabling components
-5+ 3D modeling and CAD experience with detailed design
-Experience in implementing the routing process
