Job Description

HW module builds:
Drive component builds, sub-system & system assembly/build at vendors and contract manufacturers.
End to end ownership of material planning, material tracking, inventory management, build execution, build management, allocation of finished modules to various customers.
Generate and communicate status updates and summary reports

HW module testing and verification
Plan, coordinate, and track testing activities for various components, sub-systems and systems, including tracking serial numbers of parts under test as they move through the assembly process, generating status updates and summary reports of what has been tested, when, and where to find the data etc.

Prototyping
Help engineering and cross functional teams on HW prototyping efforts.
Establish program plan, milestones, schedules. Generate BOM, order materials, drive prototype build, bringup and testing activities.
Generate and communicate status updates and summary reports
Expect to travel domestically and internationally, 4-6 times a year.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in optical engineering, materials science, electrical engineering, or a similar field.
Previous experience in Hardware development and program management.
Experience partnering with Asian-based vendors and contract manufacturers.
Experience with product development lifecycle.
A strong written and verbal communicator, able to synthesize information into the most salient points to move a team / initiative forward.
