We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Technical Writer to join our aerospace engineering team. This role focuses on creating, editing, and maintaining technical documentation related to electrical tools, wire harnesses, and associated aerospace systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers, technicians, and quality assurance teams to produce clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation that meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain technical manuals, installation guides, maintenance procedures, and wiring diagrams for aerospace electrical systems and wire harnesses.
Translate complex engineering data and schematics into clear, concise documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with electrical engineers, manufacturing teams, and quality assurance to gather source material and ensure documentation accuracy.
Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100, FAA, EASA) and internal documentation guidelines.
Create and manage content in document control systems (e.g., Windchill, SharePoint, or equivalent).
Participate in design reviews and product testing to gain firsthand understanding of systems and tools.
Edit and update existing documentation to reflect engineering changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist in the development of training materials and user manuals for internal and external stakeholders.

3+ years of experience in technical writing, in the aerospace or defense industry.
understanding of electrical systems, wire harnesses, and related aerospace components.
prior experience with tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Arbortext, Microsoft Office, Visio, and CAD viewers.
Familiarity with configuration management and document control systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs).
