Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a plant Logistics Coordinator to support one of the largest steel manufacturing companies in the United States. The role of the Melt Shop Inventory/Logistics Coordinator Includes but is not limited to; managing inventory of consumable items, writing purchase orders, ensuring that materials are properly stored, offloading materials as they are delivered and working with vendors who supply materials that are used in the steel making process. This will involve Monthly inventory reporting, cycle-counting, updating computer database records, housekeeping, and working closely with vendors and team members.

Required Skills & Experience

3-5 years of experience in warehouse shipping logistics,
shipping management, materials handling, and inventory
management.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Strong commitment to safety in all aspects
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and detail oriented
Ability to contribute effectively in a team environment
Exhibit continuous personal improvement and positive
attitude
