An employer is looking for a Hardware Validation Engineer to sit in Redmond, WA. The Hardware Design Verification Engineer focusing on executing test plans for various electrical functions of the ISL including voltage regulators, analog sensor signal conditioning and processing, analog actuator control, and overall ISL monitoring and control across spacecraft interfaces. They will be expected to work closely with the EE design team on design verification testing by providing feedback and executing additional tests as needed. The role also involves supporting board bring-up, developing hardware-in-the-loop setups and executing design test plans.
Primary responsibilities:
Setup and execute hardware verification testing on component level
Use oscilloscopes, power supplies and electronic loads to make measurements
Collect and deliver data; write and/or contribute to test reports
Help create test cases and test plans, modifying existing test documentation as needed
Provide test feedback to teams to improve quality performance through all phases of data collection
Work with design and test engineers assisting with prototype builds

Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Demonstrable experience as an Electrical Support Engineer.
Ability to read electrical schematics
Experience using soldering tools to solder and desolder components and blue wires
Understanding of working principles of voltage regulators
Understanding of serial interfaces
Experience with tools and measurement equipment (oscilloscope, power supply, electronic load, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts and designs to colleagues across disciplines
Experience with PCB debugging and testing, including microprocessors, power supplies, ADCs and sensors
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
Electrical engineering work experience in Aerospace, Consumer Electronics, Power Electronics, Robotics, Automotive, and/or Communications fields or combination thereof
Experience in development and test of satellite bus systems
