Insight Global is looking for 2 Adhesives Lab Engineers to sit onsite in Seattle, WA for a top client in the AR/VR industry. This team brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking augmented and virtual reality products. The Materials Innovation team is seeking an Adhesive Lab Engineer responsible for performing adhesive related testing in the Seattle Materials Lab. Responsibilities include:
* Apply adhesives, assemble coupons, use instruments to measure adhesion strength in a laboratory setting
* Follow established safety and best practices protocols to ensure a safe and organized lab
* Generate reliable coupon and form-factor testing data, explain and record experiment results and observations
* Write and maintain experiment SOPs, analyze raw data, and generate test reports
* Utilizing Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to organize data, create reports, and deliver presentations
* Design or customize test setups to measure performance of adhesives
* Work with vendors and lab managers to purchase new equipment as well as maintain calibrate and upgrade existing equipment
* Maintain materials coupon inventory and perform IQC on received coupons
* Collaborate with internal and XFN coworkers to deliver data efficiently and communicate results
* Transferring data from multiple outputs, including spreadsheets, databases, and documents, into centralized systems.

- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering or Chemistry
- Experienced with mechanical characterization techniques
- Experienced with and comfortable in a wet lab environment, working with hands on materials testing and sample preparation
- Hands on experience working with adhesives and polymers
