Job Description

An employer is looking for a Remote Prepress Designer to work PST hours. A good mix of print and digital production support would be ideal. We need to see production designers that have print experience getting assets print ready for vendors. We create many versions of assets and need to see true production designers vs UI designers, UX designers, art directors, visual designers. The candidates that were submitted did not have print production experience.



We are looking for an innovative, forward-thinking, and highly skilled Production Designer to join our Content Innovation team. This person will be a self-motivated and open-minded candidate with strong visual design capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of how brand can express themselves across printed and digital brand ecosystem.



Responsibilities:

- Understands both design intention and production requirements, communicates concerns and questions in a thoughtful, constructive manner.

- Creates templates and graphics files to correct specifications to ensure quality of design product for print or as delivery in a digital workspace.

- Participates on cross-functional teams to improve studio process and technical understanding.

- Be a passionate student of all things printed and digital media, particularly web, in-store, email and digital advertising.

- Utilize and contribute to design systems, design templates and component libraries

- Have a solid understanding of design principles and best practices in printed and digital (e.g. typography, color theory, layout, information hierarchy)

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of graphic design / production design / pre-press experience

Expert level in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD and Figma.

Experience working within a design system or asset library

Must have experience wih print production

Previous production experience designing across print, mobile and/or web experiences at consumer-focused

brands, agencies, or color house.

Experienced in deciphering and delivering artwork against technical specifications, ink/special treatments, color separations, print-ready art required

Portfolio that showcases your contribution to print-ready art and/or interactive consumer facing experiences and demonstrates originality, innovation, and strong problem-solving skills.

Graphic Design degree preferred
