Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking four Freight Settlement Specialist who will be responsible for supporting the Freight Order Lifecycle under Transportation Procurement team. This position will update and maintain accurate transportation procurement rate tables, in a manner consistent with approved quality standards and performance requirements. The Freight Settlement Specialist will run daily reports to proactively monitor and correct rate discrepancies on Freight Orders and Freight Settlement documents. Finally, the Freight Settlement Specialist will assist in identifying process improvement opportunities and recurring issues that need root cause analysis.



The position will work with Procurement, Global Business Services, Operations, Supply Chain Finance and Carriers.

Required Skills & Experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Individuals in this position must:

* Maintain transportation rates in the ERP rate tables

* Run daily reports to identify freight settlement and rate corrections

* Update rates on Freight Orders

* Create, correct, and update Freight Settlement documents based on contracted rates

* Complete assigned items in accordance with approved policies and SOX Controls

* Research and resolve any rate discrepancies in an effective and timely manner

* Provide accurate records management relative to the Procurement function

* Respond to internal and external inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner

* Maintain department metrics and KPI's

* Assist with additional projects at manager's direction



Qualifications & Experience

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this job.

* Associate degree preferred, or equivalent related experience or training

* 3-5 Years experience in Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, or similar functions

* Ability to leverage software such as Microsoft Office, SAP, or a comparable ERP tool.

* Ability to manage multiple priorities

* Ability to work independently and as a team player, be organized, and plan ahead

* Ability to follow departmental vision

* Problem solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills

* Verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to learn quickly

* 10-key skills by touch
