Job Description
Candidate will be responsible to develop and manage an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in support of a Program Manager (PM). The schedule will be managed in Open Plan Professional (OPP). Once a schedule baseline is developed, the daily and weekly duties will include (but not limited to):
* Analyze the IMS for any delinquent and due activities or milestones o Communicate with CAMs (task owners) if status is not current and needs to be updated
* Provide CAMs with a two week lookahead of tasks
* Conduct weekly, post status schedule analysis to identify any changes to critical path or impact(s) to major milestones o Depending on the program, this may also include the need for a schedule variance analysis
* Update Tier 1 charts based on status updates
* Update any additional supporting documents/charts that are required by the PM
* Communicate impacts to the PM and if needed, recommend creating a recovery plan o If a recovery plan is implemented, conduct recovery plan meetings per PM direction.
* Participate in the review of proposed changes to the baseline and update the baseline per the PM's direction
* Describe the project/day-to-day activities they will be working on: Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards. Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives. Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project. Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers. Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion. Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives. Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree or higher
* 3+ years' experience within project management
* Experience with Milestone Professional, OPP and MS Project experience.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Outlook experience
