Job Description
One of Insight Global's clients is looking for a Sr. DevOps Engineer. On a day to day basis, this resource will be responsible for:
1. Building automation to consolidate container technologies and migrate microservices from ECS & Kubernetes to our golden platform (EKS/AKS)
2. Building automation to help us migrate our monolithic Ruby on Rails application to a containerized infrastructure built on EKS/AKS
3. Participating in design/evaluation of new tools, techniques, and technologies
4. Contributing to & building the architecture of our Cloud platform and its delivery
5. Developing tools and software applications using Terraform, YAML, JavaScript, Ruby, PowerShell, Bash to grow our operational stack to the next level
Required Skills & Experience
1. 6+ years of professional technical experience
2. 4+ years of experience with scripting/programming using Java, Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, or equivalent
3. Experience with building organizationally-scalable CI/CD pipelines in tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent
4. Experience building and operating CI/CD pipeline infrastructure at scale for tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent
5. Experience building developer-centric shared services platforms
6. Experience onboarding development teams to Docker, kubernetes, and/or CI/CD
7. Experience in Cloud Hosting with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud or equivalent
8. Experience with configuration management tools like Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or equivalent
9. Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, AKS, or equivalent
10. Experience with AWS Controllers for Kubernetes, Crossplane, or equivalent
11. Experience with source control using Git with a solid foundation of branch strategies
12. Experience deploying and operating immutable infrastructure
13. Experience with OOP, Design Principles, REST
14. Experience with Unit and Integration Testing
15. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
