Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced QA Automation Test Engineer that can help mature and influence quality practice to improve overall velocity and project quality. The Automation Test Engineer will be responsible for QA Strategy, Governance and facilitating the testing efforts for very complex multimillion dollar software development projects. The qualified candidate will work closely with the project manager, project engineering team and developers to design and deliver an effective quality plan. Effective collaboration and excellent communication skills are a must. We are looking for a results oriented and flexible individual with a "can-do" attitude that can make the necessary QA assessments throughout the product lifecycle. The Automation Test Engineer will be responsible for owning and testing feature areas of our applications and tools. This individual will be a fast learner, a strong QA contributor, results driven, with high integrity and outstanding communication skills.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of IT Quality/Tester related experience required.

Thorough understanding of software quality assurance and quality control techniques and software development lifecycles (SDLC), Test Automation Frameworks & Various Test Methodologies.

5+ years of Test Automation design and implementation experience with programming languages and script development, as well as experience designing, developing, and implementing test automation strategies, approaches, and frameworks

Knowledgeable and hands on with UFT automation tooling and frameworks

Knowledgeable in ALM Quality Center usage and function

Expert knowledge of test management processes and technical skills, including understanding of manual and automated test execution

Knowledge of testing best practices on automation approaches for custom developed and consumer off-the-shelf packaged applications

Highly desired working knowledge of programming languages and database design -- High level languages such as C#, Java, Python, HTML 5, etc.

Understanding of application and system architecture concepts including service-oriented architecture (SOA)

Experience using the Agile Scrum methodology of product development

Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of complex applications

Ability to take a business user story, and translate it into design specs, automation tasks, and provide accurate, reasonable estimates for completion
