Job Description
An employer is hiring for a fully remote Instructional Video Designer for an 18 month project. This resource will be focused on story boarding, creating, and publishing video for the purpose of educating clients on a new software they are migrating to.
Reporting to the Director of Customer Education, the Instructional Designer is a key member of the Customer Education team serving as a leading specialist in the design of video tutorials, multimedia courses, and projects focused on customer training and education. The Instructional Designer works closely with cross-functional teams (Implementation, Customer Education, Services, Product Marketing, and Customer Success) to develop educational content for training and best practices to help customers be successful using our company's products.
Researches and organizes information and writes/directs instructional materials (tutorials, audio and video scripts, storyboards, role plays, games, navigational text, tests, etc.) that transform complex information into professionally written, clear, interactive multimedia instruction.
Structures course content and develops course outlines, determines user pathways and feedback to create instructional and navigational templates, and selects presentation media based on an awareness of the strengths of the many separate media that comprise multimedia (i.e. video, e-Learning software, etc.)
Conducts needs/audience analysis, develops training objectives and lesson plans, and creates high-quality custom course work to meet individual customer/employee needs.
Works independently, applying intensive and diversified knowledge in broad areas of assignments.
Performs a wide variety of professional tasks, which demand a high level of creativity and imagination, as well as a thorough knowledge of the applicable needs and expectations of employees/customers
Applies tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods.
Determine and apply assessment instruments to measure learner progress.
Required Skills & Experience
Fluent in video software (like Adobe or other)
Able to provide a portfolio that showcases work in Animation Software
Self sufficient - able to take a project idea and execute on it with little hand holding
Able to provide their Capstone project
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Multimedia Instructional Design degree from Washington State University
