Job Description

Team: RLR HW Design, Manufacturing & Ops (formerly the PCB Design team)





Summary:

PCB library administration to create parts symbols and footprints are built to industry standards and RLR HW specifications, ensuring optimal mechanical and electrical performance of the components and the board.





Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for all phases of creation of the ECAD library, creation of the PCB footprint and SCH symbols using Altium Concord Pro for Meta's corporate library system. They must have the ability to communicate and cooperate with multiple engineering groups. They will be an integral part of a team of HW Design, Manufacturing & Ops team under the Research organization.



Manage incoming part requests and maintain existing catalog items

Work with third party component generation services as necessary with changing workloads

Monitor part statuses with Component Engineering: Part deprecation, End-of-life, etc.

Required Skills & Experience

Skills required:



3+ years ECAD library administration

Industry experience as an ECAD PCB Librarian using Altium

Knowledge and understanding of any applicable IPC standards, and DFM rules for creating pad-stacks and footprints for small pitch SMT and through-hole components

Demonstrated ability to read component datasheets to extract critical design information needed to generate new PCB schematics and footprints

The ability to work well with a diverse group of dedicated professionals

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills
