Job Description

An employer is looking for a Mechanical Designer local to the Seattle, WA area. This is a hybrid onsite position, and not flexible to remote candidates and has the capability to hire a mid-level to senior candidate. This team works on the avionic systems and communication hardware that goes into their flight vehicles. This person will be responsible for developing 2D electro-mechanical design drawing packages for flight critical avionics systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience utilizing Catia CAD tool software for generating the product manufacturing drawing packages for both prototype and production level designs. Truly this role is heavily dedicated to cranking out drawings in Catia daily. This individual must also have a background within electronic packaging and design, which includes experience with printed circuit board assembly, enclosures of LRUs around all the electronic parts, wire harnessing and installation. This also entails having someone who has experience not only with top level assembly but drawing of the detailed parts (sheet metal, printed circuit board assembly, etc). Required Skills & Experience

-3-10+ years mechanical design and drafting experience

-Extensive experience using Dassault 3DExperiene Catia mechanical CAD software tool

-Ability to create a large amount of Catia drawings weekly

-Experience with electronic packaging

-Experience with printed circuit board assembly, wire harnessing, LRUs, and enclosures

-Overall strong understanding of electro-mechanical design and development projects

-Strong verbal and written communication skills

-Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills

-Associates Degree in Design/Drafting/or Engineering

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working within aerospace/ aviation industry

Dassault 3DExperence Enovia for PLM

Use of engineering project management software such as JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile tools
