A client of Insight Global is looking for a REMOTE DBA to join a multi-year project for High Availability SQL and Disaster Recovery. This effort is covering 4 major servers, with the largest housing 30-40 databases. The team will be tackling one server at a time. This project will require immaculate communication abilities as these servers cover most major units of the business.
- The ideal candidate will possess an advanced understanding of networking (subnetting, routing, VPC / VNet, network security groups, load balancing, etc.)
- 7+ years of successful and applicable hands-on experience in data development and principles including end-to-end design patterns
- 7+ years proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale, high-quality operational or analytical data systems
- 7+ years of successful and applicable experience taking a lead role in building complex data solutions that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Any experience defining evolutionary data solutions and underlying technologies
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
- Basic understanding of network and data security architecture
- Knowledge in a minimum of two of the following technical disciplines: data warehousing, data management, analytics development, data science, application programming interfaces (APIs), data integration, cloud, servers and storage, and database management
- At least 5 years experience as SQL Server Database Administrator on versions 2012 through 2019
- Experience with High Availability SQL for disaster recovery projects
- 3+ years of experience working within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with cloud data platform or database administration
