Job Description

We are seeking a software engineer who will be part of a team focused on building robust, enterprise level commerce capabilities and solutions. Prior development experience as well as business acumen will enable your success. Application development experience coupled with knowledge of API's, microservices, and cloud-based technologies will help you craft innovative solutions to meet our business goals. From inception to completion, you will develop tools and technology, learning quickly from our spirit of experimentation. Overall, you will have a direct impact on improving the performance of our business and ensuring customers can buy and sell the products and services they want in a way that is right for them.

What you will do -- Essential responsibilities

· Design and Develop .NET (C#) applications, hosted in Azure, which interact with numerous microservices using various security patterns..

· Work with Salesforce developers to develop new communication channels.

· Design applications within an event-driven architecture.

· Integrate with multiple microservices.

· Coordinating with various teams working on distinct layers

· Develop cloud solutions using services, functions, and other key cloud platform components.

· Implement continuous integration and DevOps practices, including automated testing.

· Develop robust tests, monitoring and alerting.

· Leverage a variety of technologies to provide solutions to business needs.

· Build a deep knowledge and functional expertise of the supported technology ecosystem and touchpoints and impacts of changing industry best for deployment.

· Build a deep knowledge of the retail, wholesale, marketplace, and automotive industries, specifically from the point of view of how technology is being applied to power the customer experiences.

· Partner closely Lead Engineers to drive the digital commerce ecosystem forward.

· Create technical and support artifacts for applications and integrations.

Required Skills & Experience

· 3 + years' experience developing application development required.

· A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline required.

· Hands on programming using C# .Net Core required.

· Microsoft Azure or similar cloud technologies is optimal.

· REST API design experience is optimal.

· Knowledge of SQL Server and/or NoSQL database technologies is optimal.

· Strong teamwork skills, ability to learn quickly, excellent written and spoken communication required.

· Knowledge of JSON, frameworks, and standards, required.

· Experience working with Agile and DevOps methodologies, required.

· Experience implementing end point security utilizing industry stands and best practices.

· Experience working within a product organization preferred.

· In-depth knowledge of relational databases, SQL and/or NoSQL knowledge and experience preferred.

· Knowledge of API Gateway technologies, preferred.

· Experience writing testable code, preferred.

· Experience integrating cloud-based technologies and solutions preferred.

· Experiencing scripting Infrastructure as code in a CI/CD pipeline preferred.

Prior experience working with container technology such as Docker, version control systems (SVN, GitHub, etc.), build management and CI/CD and monitoring tools are a plus.
