Job Description

One of our manufacturing clients is seeking a Manufacturing Production Coordinator to join their growing team in Colonial Heights, VA. The Manufacturing Production Coordinator will support the timely flow of customer orders through production by coordinating information and priorities across Production, Planning, Sales, Materials and other support functions. This position monitors production progress, material availability and schedule risks; communicates accurate order status; and helps resolve issues that could affect completion or delivery. Other responsibilities include:
• Serve as a primary point of coordination among Production, Planning and Sales regarding order status, priorities, schedule changes and delivery risks.
• Monitor production schedules, work-in-process and customer orders from release through completion.
• Provide timely and accurate production-status updates to appropriate stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Production and Planning to clarify priorities and support the timely completion of scheduled work.
• Identify material shortages, inventory discrepancies, quality concerns, capacity constraints and other issues that may affect production.
• Work with appropriate teams to resolve routine issues and escalate significant risks promptly.
• Monitor parts and material availability and maintain accurate information in production and inventory systems.
• Coordinate the movement of materials into and out of storage and production areas in accordance with standard work.
• Support Sales and Customer Service with accurate, approved information regarding order progress and potential delays.
• Participate in production meetings and communicate follow-up actions as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of production manufacturing operations experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• High School Diploma

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience using ERP, AS400, production or inventory-management systems.
• Experience reading/working with work orders
• Prior experience utilizing Power BI is a plus
