Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to support one of our large manufacturing clients in Richmond, VA. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving a wide range of industrial equipment and building systems. The ideal candidate will have experience across multiple maintenance disciplines, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, boiler, and preventative maintenance, and will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, boiler, and pneumatic equipment with minimal supervision.
• Respond to maintenance work orders and prioritize repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Support the installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment and facility improvements.
• Assist in developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Plan maintenance projects, obtain material and cost estimates, and execute projects under the direction of maintenance leadership.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support operational excellence programs.
• Fabricate, modify, and repair equipment components as needed to support production operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards, quality systems, and audit requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and proactively promote a safe work environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2-3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance practices.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and work independently.
• High School Diploma or GED.
