Job Description
An employer is seeking a Project Engineer for a long term opportunity in the Ashburn, VA area. This Project Engineer will be joining a growing team to support advanced aerospace and defense programs within the organization. This Project Engineer will focus heavily on program execution, cost management, schedule management, and EVMS-related activities while partnering closely with technical teams developing UAV and missile system technologies. The ideal candidate brings a blend of project engineering, earned value management, and systems engineering experience within aerospace, defense, missile systems, or unmanned aircraft environments. Day to day responsibilities will include project execution across internal development (IRAD), program scheduling using Microsoft Project, performing Control Account Management (CAM) responsibilities, tracking and report EVMS metrics, including CPI and SPI performance indicators and coordinating with IPT Leads and engineering teams to support program objectives. The priority for this role to start will be within with cost forecasting, resource planning, and schedule performance analysis, but then long term has the ability to migrate towards technical development, risk management and program management support.

Required Skills & Experience
Active Secret Security Clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
5–8 years of project engineering, systems engineering, or program execution experience.
Experience with Microsoft Project, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), CPI/SPI metrics and Cost Account Management (CAM)
Experience supporting aerospace, defense, missile, UAV, or related programs.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Systems Engineering experience.
IPT Lead experience.
Cameo experience.
UAV or missile systems expertise.
Prior experience at: Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Aurora Flight Sciences, Collins Aerospace, or CoAspire
