Job Description
This Pipefitter position is responsible for building, assembling, and installing piping systems used in the manufacturing of heavy equipment. The person in this role will read and follow blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and install steel and stainless-steel piping. Daily tasks include measuring, cutting, bending, threading, and assembling pipe using a variety of fabrication tools and equipment. The Pipefitter will secure piping systems using methods such as threaded connections, welding, brazing, clamps, and brackets while ensuring proper fit, alignment, and quality throughout the process. Candidates should have experience with MIG welding equipment and be able to perform tack welding as needed. This role also involves inspecting completed work, troubleshooting assembly issues, maintaining a safe and organized workspace, and following all company safety, quality, and hot work requirements. The ideal candidate is experienced in industrial fabrication, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
Location: Chesapeake VA.
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Overtime: Optional overtime available on Fridays and occasionally Saturdays
Compensation: $22/hr-$27/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
• 3+ years of pipefitting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical schematics.
• Experience fabricating and installing steel and stainless-steel piping systems.
• Familiarity with Mig welding process and equipment with the ability to tack weld.
• Knowledge of pipe threading, bending, fitting, and assembly techniques.
• Ability to use standard fabrication and measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
