Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a senior-level telecom infrastructure expert to oversee enterprise standards and governance for structured cabling, fiber/copper networks, telecom spaces, and related facility infrastructure across Virginia. This person will serve as the subject matter expert for passive network infrastructure, ensuring quality, consistency, compliance, and documentation across construction, renovation, and modernization projects. The ideal candidate combines hands-on telecom or structured cabling experience with expertise in infrastructure design oversight, standards development, vendor management, and quality assurance. They will collaborate with facilities, engineering, construction teams, and contractors while mentoring technicians and driving long-term infrastructure best practices across the organization. This role is focused on improving installation quality, reducing rework, and establishing scalable governance standards enterprise-wide.
This position can pay 55-65/hr based on experience.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5–8+ years of telecommunications infrastructure experience
• Strong structured cabling expertise
• Fiber optic and copper infrastructure experience
• MDF/IDF design and telecom room planning
• Strong understanding of rack, cabinet, pathway, and cable management standards
• Grounding and bonding knowledge
• Infrastructure testing and certification practices
• Vendor and contractor oversight experience
• Construction, facility buildout, and renovation project support
• Documentation governance including as-builts, fiber maps, rack elevations, and cable schedules
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience enforcing standards and quality assurance across multiple sites
BICSI certification, extensive BICSI knowledge or RCDD certification (strongly preferred)
