Insight Global is seeking a Business Analyst – Product Data Management / Product Catalog for a leading enterprise eCommerce client. This candidate will act as a key bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, and system owners to enhance a custom-built product catalog platform. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in business analysis along with hands-on experience in product data structures, catalog management, and eCommerce ecosystems.
This individual will work closely with operations and technical teams to identify pain points, gather requirements, and improve workflows within the product data management system. They will play a critical role in evolving the platform into a centralized source of truth by driving process improvements, supporting product onboarding, and ensuring seamless integration with downstream systems. This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable system solutions. Pay for this role is between $50-$55 an hour.
Day-to-Day:
Partner with the PDM Operator to identify operational pain points
Gather requirements from business stakeholders and product owners
Facilitate workshops for product catalog and system updates
Create and refine user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria
Document current-state and future-state workflows
Build process maps, swimlane diagrams, and flowcharts
Support product onboarding and catalog configuration
Analyze product data structures (attributes, SKUs, variants, pricing, etc.)
Recommend process improvements and system enhancements
Coordinate with cross-functional teams on downstream system impacts
Ensure stakeholder alignment and approvals on product configurations
Help drive adoption of PDM as the central source of truth for product data

Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in Product Data Management (PDM), Product Catalogs, or PIM systems
Deep understanding of product catalog structures (SKUs, variants, attributes, hierarchy, bundles, metadata)
Experience with eCommerce platforms (BigCommerce strongly preferred)
Proven Business Analyst expertise:
Requirements gathering and analysis
Stakeholder communication
Writing user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria
Experience facilitating workshops and cross-functional discussions
Strong process mapping skills (current-state & future-state workflows)
Ability to create swimlane diagrams, flowcharts, and data flow diagrams
Experience working with system integrations and downstream data depen
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience working with custom-built product catalog or PDM systems
Background supporting product onboarding and lifecycle management
Experience identifying and reducing manual processes through system improvements
Prior work closely supporting operations roles (e.g., PDM Operator)
Exposure to pricing, product configuration rules, and eligibility logic
Experience working in evolving systems/environments post-migration (e.g., BigCommerce transitions)
